Service Delivery & Refund Policy

DataMukt operates as a specialized **Legal Notification Service**. Our core service is executing deep web scans to find your personal data and actively dispatching formal legal notices under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 to data brokers on your behalf.
Due to the immediate execution of these legal and technical resources, all sales are final and strictly non-refundable upon the successful dispatch of your initial removal notices.
1. Nature of the Service
When you subscribe to DataMukt, you are paying for the execution of legal notices and monitoring software, not absolute guaranteed compliance from third-party entities.
We guarantee that our automated systems will accurately identify your exposed data (where possible) and dispatch legally formatted Section 12 Right to Erasure notices to the offending brokers. Once these notices are sent and tracked on your dashboard, DataMukt has successfully delivered its primary service.
2. Third-Party Compliance and Liability
DataMukt is not an enforcement agency. We act as your authorized technical agent to enforce your rights, but we do not control the data brokers.
- If a data broker ignores a legally binding DPDP Act notice,
- If a data broker introduces hostile manual steps (e.g., requesting you to upload government ID directly to them),
- Or if a data broker hides information from us or rejects automated requests,
This represents non-compliance by the broker, not a failure of DataMukt's service. In such events, we will provide you with the documentation (logs of sent notices) necessary for you to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India. We do not issue refunds for third-party non-compliance.
3. Exceptions (When Refunds Are Issued)
We firmly believe in fair business. You are entitled to a full or pro-rated refund ONLY under the following strict conditions:
- Technical Failure on Our End: If a system bug prevents DataMukt from sending ANY legal notices or performing ANY scans within 72 hours of your payment, we will refund the purchase.
- Erroneous Charges: If you are double-charged due to a payment gateway error or charged after you properly cancelled your subscription before the renewal date.
4. Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your monthly or annual subscription at any time via your account dashboard.
- Cancellation stops all future billing strictly.
- No Pro-Ration: If you cancel in the middle of a billing cycle, your service will remain active until the end of that cycle. We do not provide partial refunds for unused days.
5. Dispute Resolution
Chargebacks filed without attempting to resolve the issue with our support team first will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account, and any active legal notices sent on your behalf may be rescinded.
